HP Envy 360 laptop
Microsoft Windows 11

Just purchased my Envy 360 laptop 3 months ago. Won’t turn on. Hasn’t been dropped and worked fine yesterday. Looking for a solution before I take it back to Best Buy.

Hi @HOPT1,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try for your HP Envy 360 laptop that won't turn on.

Check Power Supply:

  • Ensure that the power adapter is plugged in securely and that the power outlet is working. Try using a different power outlet or adapter if possible.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the power adapter and any connected peripherals.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to perform a hard reset.
  • Reconnect the power adapter and try turning the laptop on again.

Check Battery Status:

  • If your laptop has a removable battery, remove it, and then reinsert it.
  • Try turning the laptop on with just the power adapter connected and the battery removed.

Inspect the Power Button:

  • Ensure that the power button is not stuck or damaged. Sometimes, a stuck button can prevent the laptop from turning on.

Check for LED Indicators:

  • Look for any LED lights on the laptop when you try to power it on. If there are any flashing lights or patterns, refer to the laptop’s manual for their meaning.

Try an External Monitor:

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor to check if there is a display issue. Sometimes the laptop may be on, but the screen may not be working.

Reset BIOS:

  • If you can access the BIOS/UEFI setup, you might be able to reset it to default settings. This can sometimes resolve power issues.

Listen for Sounds:

  • Pay attention to any sounds from the laptop when you attempt to power it on. Clicking or beeping sounds might indicate hardware issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
