I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message after the weekend from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post ( serial numbers and case details)

My hinges have broken as well! It is causing the screen to start to pull apart. I am out of warranty, but now that I see this has been an issue for so many people I am worried about the quality of HP products.

My HP envy m6 was purchased in June 2013 and my warranty is up by about 8 months but my left henge is breaking and it's casuing my aluminum casing to start peeling off the panel. This is a concerning problem beccause I use my computer often but to me this isn't normal wear and tare because of my computer only being just under 2 years old. I've never dropped or damaged the side of my computer in any way that would cause such an issue. This is not the only problem I've had with my computer that have arisen in the past few months. My sound mute button that is suppose to have an LED light under it has gone out and my "t" button doesn't always work. I've cleaned the button numerous times and it has never gotten better. I'm very unhappy with all the issues I'm having and although my warranty is up, I feel that it is HP's responsibility to fix my problems, espescially since this is a very common issue.

I also have the same problem as most people here. My warranty expiered around 1 year ago, and I thought I could do nothing untill i stumbled across this tread, and I hope that I can still get some help. My left hinge has broken, and I would really love a response. Also my touch screen stopped working, which I think might have something to do with this... (if needed I can send a picture of the break)
