I've had this laptop for a couple of years now, so I expected some trouble with either my charger or the battery at some point.
So yesterday the icon displayed that it couldn't detect the battery anymore. Sometimes it works for like 3 seconds and then it's back to what it was.
I assumed the battery or my charger was broken, but I'm not sure about it, as some forum messages also mention it could be a software problem. I tried these solutions:
-running a hp support assistant battery analysis(it said it couldn't detect the battery)
- running windows troobleshoot, which said nothing was wrong.
- restoring the BIOS to default
- updating the BIOS
- opening up the laptop, removing the battery, restarting the laptop and connecting the battery again.
- removing the battery drivers and reinstalling them again+ reboot
- updating the battery drivers+reboot
None of the above has worked out so far, so I was hoping someone from HP support or a tech savvy passerby could offer some advce 🙂
My thanks in advance
