I have 2 identical HP Envy X360 convertible 15 mbp laptops Replaced battery and fan and added NVME drive. It all started with a noisy fan, found swollen battery, and thought while I'm in here Ill install a faster drive.
The first laptop upgrade went very well, no problems.
I did the very same thing to the second identical laptop ... and it will not turn on. The led at the charging port stays solid amber even with the charge cord removed. When I remove the battery and insert the charge cord it is on solid white and the computer still will not turn on. I have hard reset the computer. I have reinstalled the old parts. I have cussed at it and done everything I can think of, but it WILL NOT TURN ON. I don't even get a flicker on the power button.
What have I done wrong?
