HP ENVY 15-bp112DX x360 Convertible PC
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Does the HP Envy x360 15 BP112DX support charging over the USB C port ???

there was a bios update that said in the list of fixes that USB C 45w charger support was added.

Good Afternoon that is through USB C docks .. i dont see support for third party USB C docks (other reputable vendors dell etc).

also i see reviews on amazon for the same HP docks that do not charge the HP Envy BP1xx line.

i also have a 45W usb charger that i can use on my other devices but my laptop no go.

I think HP should work on a bios update to allow the USB C port to allow for charging universally would be nice option.

The answer is:

There is NO WAY to charge the notebook via the USB-C port.

Correct?

-------------------------------

We are NOT talking about charging peripherals with power going FROM the notebook TO a peripheral, we are asking about wanting to charge the notebook itself via the USB-C port, as is usually possible via USB-C, as that's part of the  USB-C spec...to be able to charge a notebook computer.

Thanks...
