Hi!
I purchased my HP Envy 3 years ago, the warranty expired in February of the last year (2023), and the computer has been great so far. Then yesterday when I opened my PC (which was peacefully laying on the desk), the right hinge popped out from inside the screen and broke my screen from behind due to the strain. I was so frustrated, I take such good care of this computer and I rely heavily on it for my work. I got a quote to fix the hinge and the screen (since it's out of warranty) and it will cost me half the price I paid for the computer in the first place, plus it will take 45 days for the pieces to arrive. Since then, I've learned this is a very common issue with the convertible line and not a sign of misuse on my part, and so I'd like to talk to someone about having the computer replaced or have HP pay for my repairs.
I am a student and I heavily rely on this computer, it has been perfect until now, and I absolutely can't afford a new one. I really like HP and have been a customer for years, I really hope there are real solutions to this issue, that HP replaces or pays for the repair of my laptop since this is clearly a common issue with the convertible line and not a sign of misuse, especially for a computer that was purchased so recently. I really hope HP takes its due responsibility on this.
Kindly awaiting a solution,
Maria.
