I purchased my HP Envy X360 in September 2020, and it's been a great machine up until the right hinge broke two days ago. I heard a crack as I was closing it and now I can't close the lid or open it any further than where it's currently sitting as the right hand hinge no longer pivots and instead distorts the screen and casing around it as it attempts to pop out. I'm worried that it will crack the screen.
Of course this has happened now that it's out of warranty. It seems to be a common problem but currently my laptop is basically a desktop and that's not what I purchased it for. Any help on what I can do would be appreciated.
