Product: HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ey0000 (54J83AV)

I see it's a known issue that the HP Envy x360 hinges just fail. It happened to me today and I haven't owned it for even two years yet. It's out of warranty though it's a known issue and manufacturing defect but can't seem to contact support online it keeps redirecting me to other pages and chatbots. I know other people have managed to get it repaired for free, how did they manage to contact HP successfully?

I called the number you sent to me, but it said they were closed even though I called within the stated hours of operation. Is the phone line defunct?
