HP Envy x360 Convertible 13-bd0504sa
Microsoft Windows 11

I purchased the HP envy x360 laptop (model as in title description) online and the UK PC world Currys chain was the seller. However within the 30 day period the left hinge broke. There was no sudden application of pressure or any crazy torques so it was surprising when I revolved the screen to see the left corner of the screen was protruding outwards from seemingly no impact. Then I tried to rotate it back and the hinge came out of the screen. I thought it wouldnt be difficult to snap it back into place but after attempting to do that the second right hinge came out. And repeated attempts to fix this resulted in a cracked screen and the Currys seller refused to compensate claiming damage was induced by me and couldnt apply prompt repair within the 30 day period of purchase as accidental damage is not covered. While this is true the initial problem was with the hinge itself, and there are repeated posts about a flaw in the design of the left hinge specifically which seems to have been the root cause of this. Understandably I am not too pleased with the situation , I am seeking advice on what steps to take it any are available to resolve this issue? Right now I dont see a way forward and just accepting that this sets me back ~600 pounds. I would only be okay if I applied excessive force or sudden jerking motion but my laptop was not subjected to anything that should cause a hinge to come out.
