Solved!

HP Envy x360 Convertible 15m-cp0xxx RAM Expansion

HP Recommended
HP Envy x360 Convertible 15m-cp0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Does this laptop support dual 16 gig 3400 sticks? I ordered some after glancing over the hardware specs and it looked like it would work just fine, but I just read a different article with contradicting information. The RAM hasn't arrived yet, so I haven't been able to try.

@Aeralisk

What is your HP Envy x360 Convertible 15m-cp0xxx  ? For example

                HP ENVY x360 - 15m-cp0011dx

It has 8 GB DDR4-2400 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB). Your machine could be very close to the above machine therefore I use the above machine to answer your question: It may accept 2666MHz, 3200MHz .... RAM but it will run at 2400MHz

Regards.

This is AMD Ryzen, right? You do not give the full model number. Memory specified in the Manual is DDR4-2666 SO-DIMM and the Manual will say 16 gb is the maximum but it will run 2 x 16 = 32. And it will downclock to 2400 speed so DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM will also work. So not sure if your question is a typo and you mean 2400 sticks or possibly 3200 sticks. Faster memory may work but will downclock to 2400 frequency and stock latency. Bottom line you can run 32 gigs but it has to be compatible memory.

I apologize, it's the 15m-cp0012dx

It has a Ryzen 7 which is suppose to carry the 3400 RAM. Having two 16 gig sticks was over kill I know, but I got a deal on them.
