Hello I have an HP Envy x360 computer and I was trying to use a USB-C to USB-A cable to use my Desktop monitor on my computer through this process I have identify the USB- C might be defective. I was looking for a replacement part for the USB-C. Does anyone know the part number? I looked on HP's parts web site and I have been unsuccessful locating it. I appreciate any assistance.

You can use the HP hardware duagnostics uefi utility to test the notebook USB ports. Immediately after pressing the power button, tap the F2 key to invoke the hardware diagnostic utility. Select Components and then USB to test yge ports.
Replacing a port for the average owner would mean replacing the complete systemboard.
What make and model of display are you trying to connect to the notebook?

Thanks for you insights, but I am not an average owner. I am a computer professional. The two displays that I have been using are HP 23er and HP 23es. Neither monitor will work when I connect two different type of USB-C to HMDI cables. Also I have an ASUS Q524UQK model computer that I am able to utilized the USB-C to HMDI cables with the either monitor without any issue. Also I have HP USB-C Travel HUB that does not work as well. Everything point to defective USB-C ports. If the system board needs to be replaced then that model number would be appreciated.

My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I was a bit tied up with family issues.
i agree with you. That is definitely a system board failure issue. The only problem is that the product number you have give is quite difficult to track down.
Try the following while logged in.
Type system in=formation in the search box.
Look for the system model and system SKU information that should be there.
Kindly post that information in your next reply.
