- HP Envy x360 Screen Hinges Broken

When using my HP Envy x360 a few nights ago, both hinges that connect the screen to the computer popped out. The screen still folds and unfolds but doesn't stay open and seems very fragile. This computer was bought in November 2021, and has not been mistreated in any way. It seems like others in the community have experienced a similar issue, and I'm wondering what steps I need to take to fix this issue. I tried taking it to Best Buy Geek Squad repair, but after sending it to their repair center, it was sent back because they couldn't source the appropriate parts. HP, how can I get this fixed?

Hi @kwat55,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
I understand that this is Hardware issue. But the support here is limited to software troubleshooting. However, since the unit might need repair, I would request you to contact HP support who would have the option to schedule a repair as per the warranty and the issue can be fixed.
For that to happen, we will give you additional instructions/information via Private Message.
Please check your inbox on the forums page for the private message.
If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution button, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Hi @kwat55,
Since the unit might need repair,I would request you contact HP Phone support
Go to Contact HP Customer Support to schedule a product repair or replacement. If you are in Asia Pacific, you will be directed to a local service center in your area.
To confirm your warranty status, go to HP Product Warranty Check. Repair fees might apply for out-of-warranty products.
If you do not see any phone support, then it means no phone support in your region.
Or you may also find the nearest service center by clicking the link below.
https://support.hp.com/in-en/service-center- service center link using zip/pin code.
Thanks
