Based on the number of people here who have the same problem, and multiple online reports, it appears that this is a defect on purpose, however I have no evidence about this.
I am trying to get support using the online chat, but when I select english language, I get redirected to a french chatbot over whatsapp, which doesn't even respond to english. After waiting for several hours, I get no response. Any ideas on how to proceed?

The private response was to contact your support. Your support's response was that the product is not in warranty, and you can't help me, and you proposed that I go to a third party service.
It seems that instead of clearly stating that you don't support your customers, you just post a message saying that you will contact them in private, so that others believe that you provide actual support. This is a scam.

Hi @FotisL,
I know this doesn't look good, and believe me we would help if we could, however, I assure you this isn't a scam, it's just that the device is out of warranty and we can't share the support numbers publicly as it's region specific.
The only option we have is to repair the device for a charge as the device is out of warranty at the moment.
Best regards,
