HP Envy x360 laptop which I purchased new in March 2021. When I returned from 3 day Thanksgiving holiday the laptop which had been shut down would not turn on and was hot. The surface temperature measured with an infrared thermometer was 90-95 F and the ambient air temp 69 Ft. I turned on the fan on the cooling rack the laptop was placed on, and after a couple of hours the temperature dropped to 75 F - 79 F and it went on and stayed on until I shut it down about 6 hours later. I also turned off the cooling rack fan. The next morning the laptop was hot and would not start up again. Also I noticed the battery was at 1% and it was fully charged when I shut it down the night before. This time I removed the power cord let the laptop cool down with the cooling rack fan and within an hour the temperature drop and the laptop started. 2.5 hours later the laptop was fully charged. Tonight I will remove the charge cord, shut down the laptop and see if it holds it charge. Any experience or suggestions regarding this problem???
