HP ENVY Laptop - 13-ba0505na
Microsoft Windows 11

The display hinge (right one. Left is fine) has come off suddenly and now I'm unable to close the lid. No excessive force was used just normal daily use. How to get this Fixed? The laptop is working fine and no cracks or anything on the screen.

Is your laptop still within the free one year factory warranty period?

If it is let me know.
I should be able to assist you in getting into contact with an HP team who can help with repairing the hinge damage.

If out of warranty, that can either be done at a laptop repair center.
It can also be done by yourself, if you have the confidence and skillset to do that.

Be aware that there could be  also damage to the base enclosure or the display enclosure that may not be found until disassembly for the repair.

Since the laptop was out of warranty, had to get the hinge assembly replaced from local laptop repair provider. It seems the issue is very common and its a product defect. Hinges get broken after mild usage after a year. Very poor product from HP.

Envy x360 also has a problem of white cloudy edges of the display. This started recently after BIOS update. After the BIOS update the laptop overheats.

Looks like similar to Apple Batterygate, HP trying to mess up the laptops so users are forced to buy new ones.
