Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently got an HP Essential Docking station (USB-C G5, P/N 72C71AA#ABA) from my company (HPE) for my home office since I received a new laptop. The problem is that is seems the USB ports go inactive at random times.  My keyboard and mouse are plugged into those slots and they stop working.  Not an issue for the monitor or connection to internet (only other things plugged into it).  its happened 3 times today.  the fix so far is to unplug the docking station and plug back in--then they work again.  easy fix but very annoying--especially since when it comes back on all my windows default to my laptop screen and I have to manually drag them back to my larger screen.   Not sure what triggers it.  No other major changes to SW. I am having headset issues as well, but doubt that is related...

What is your NEW computer ? Sounds like it is NOT compatible with the dock. Do you work for HPE ? It department should be able to fix that for you.

Regards.

My new computer is HP Z Book. are you suggesting an HP docking station doesn't work with an HP computer?  I think not.  it works 99% of the time--with these random points when the ports suddenly stop working. I've noticed it seems to be when I finish a call.  strange, right?  I can go to our IT as well, but I figured the manufacturer would be best able to help.
