EliteBook 1050 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello.

As soon as i start some program, or do something that requires a little more power than the standard clock offers, the processor turn boosts the processor to about 3.5-4GHz, forcing the fans to turn on at 100% speed and leaving them at the same speed for a few minutes. No heating problems at all, increase a degree or two but nothing alarming. CPU usage bearly reaches 50%.

Is there any way to set the fan speed depending on the temperature rather than the fans being controller by the processor speed?

Thanks.

Hello,

I've had the exact same issue. Couldn't even watch a video on Youtube without the fan going crazy and making a lot of noise. Wasn't fun using this notebook at all.

I've now turned off "Turbo Boost" in the BIOS and this works!

However this should not be the solution, so please do something abou this problem HP.

Same here. The fan on the 1050 G1 is too loud, even on idle.

I didn't have such issues with my older ‎HP EliteBook 850 G1 after 4 years of usage.

Hope this helps with any and all issues.

I have noticed that the WLAN Configuration service is using the majority of CPU Usage.

Updating to the latest driver from HP worked on some of my laptops we have around... Some it didnt.
