Greetings HP Community.

 

I recently purchased an HP G2 dock hoping to use it with my HP Omen 16.

 

I can't get the G2 to power the Omen with either part of the combo cable.

 

Is this supposed to work and I have a bad G2, or is this not supposed to work and I should return the dock?

 

If the AC tip on the dock's combo cable is not right for the Omen's AC input, is there an adaptor I can buy to cause it to charge the laptop?  Perhaps even a different tip and cable that would connect to the transformer?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I bought the 230W docking station in my post as well as the title to be more clear.

 

I bought this docking station.

I assumed the combo cable's power adaptor would be compatible with my HP Omen 16, but maybe not?
