HP G2

Übersetzt mit Google:

I own an "MSI GS65 Stealth Thin 8RF" privately. At work we use HP notebooks together with the docking station "HP G2" in the 120W version.

At home I would like to use a docking station, to which I can attach both my private and business notebook. I was able to briefly test my private notebook with a docking station from work. Attached USB devices and screens (on the display ports and VGA) worked. I couldn't test the other connections.

What was striking is that the private notebook was not charged, so it only ran on the battery. The power supply of the private notebook has a power of 180W (19.5V), which is higher than that of the docking station. The Thunderbolt connector is about 5cm from the power connector and has 2 ports for screens in between.

Since there are different versions of the "HP G2" docking station (120W, 230W, 230W with combination cable), the question: Is there a version that is suitable for both private and business notebooks? If it should be the version with the combination cable, is the power plug compatible?

Many thanks for the help.

Best regards

Original in Deutsch:

the upper part of the post is in English. the lower part is the same text in German in case the translation is not entirely correct. As long as there is no German community, I have to translate it into English.

Now I hope someone can help me in English.

thank you for understanding
