I would like to put in en m2 SSD, but am uncertain how to make sure I can purchase the nvme version for my laptop.

Anyone could clear that up ?

Thanks

ps also I am unsure about the max memory , HP seems to mention max 8 Gb which I find somewhat hard to believe for such a laptop

Hi:

The M.2 slot is SATA 3, not NVMe as shown by the M.2 drives offered in the model series.

See chapter 1, page 2 of the service manual.

Also in chapter 1 is the memory upgrade info.

Your model supports 2 x 8 GB of memory since it has an Intel core processor and the PC has two memory slots.

It is the models with the Pentium/Celeron processors that only have one memory slot and the max would be 8 GB.
