It can theoretically take 8 gigs of DDR2-800 SO-DIMM. However it is very expensive:
You can find it for less if you are willing to buy offbrand memory, maybe as low as $70 or $80 but still way expensive to invest in this laptop. You can at least upgrade it to 4 gigs and a 2 gig module to replace your one gig module would be very inexpensive.
