I have a Pavilion G7-2247US running win 10 64 bit. Everything working fine
including my CD/RW GT80n. Then my CD/RW GT80N stopped reading disks. It's
seen in the bios. It ejects and the CD turns but won't read it. I do believe
it was caused by a win 10 update. Have even replaced the optical drive with the
same result. Have done all sorts of research and yet to find an answer. Any help
would surely be appreciated. Thanks

@1Jerseycoast , welcome to the forum.
Here is a guide that may help you solve your problem. There is a section on how to run System Diagnostics, as well. At the very least, it should help you determine what is causing the problem -- the discs or the drive.
Please click the Thumbs up + button if I have helped you and click Accept as Solution if your problem is solved.
