Hello,
I am owner of HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0011nv and I wand to do the maximum upgrade at ram and Disk drives.
I want to know about max RAM, GB, memory type DDR4 or DDR5, MHz.
About SSD, can I use PCIe gen 4 and max MB/sec sequential read, MB/s sequential write.
Thanks for your time.
Here some information,
Processor : Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.21GHz
System memory : 8 GB (2 x 4GB Samsung DDR4 - 2667MHz)
Disk drive : Lite-On CA1-8D128 - 128GB M.2 2280 NGFF PCIe NVMe Gen3x4 Solid State SSD
1 TB 7.200 rpm SATA ST1000LM049-2GH172 HDD

Hi:
You can install 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-2666 MHz memory in your notebook.
You can install a NVMe Gen 4 SSD but since the NVMe slot is only PCIe Gen 3, a Gen 4 NVMe SSD will not run at its maximum advertised sequential read/write speeds.
So, unless you plan on transferring a PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD to a newer model PC that has a PCIe Gen 4 slot, don't waste your money.
Buy a PCIe Gen 3 NVMe SSD.
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the memory and NVMe SSD removal and replacement procedure.
The manual indicates the max memory is 2 x 8 GB but I am sure your notebook can support 2 x 16 GB.
You can do this to confirm how much memory your notebook can support...
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Thanks for reply,
About SSD, I find the Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD 1TB, wish to be the best!
About the ram, I'm confused. I don’t know which brand is the best and most reliable. Could you suggest me what would be the best ram I could use?
Thanks for your time.

You're very welcome.
If you want to add an 8 GB memory chip, I would go with this one.
Crucial 8GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM | CT8G4SFRA266 | Crucial.com
Crucial 8GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM | CT8G4SFRA266 | Crucial EU
If you want to max out the memory, I recommend two of these...
Crucial 16GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM | CT16G4SFRA266 | Crucial.com
