Unfortunately not, I've rebooted several times now.

Edit: Got it to work, I reset the BIOS to factory settings then installed the old HP Hotkey Support driver pack.

Unfortunately, we have about 40 of these laptops in use in our organisation 😕

Edit 2: OK, I think I've found the cause of the problem.

In BIOS > Advanced > System Settings there is now an entry:

HP Application Driver.

This is at the very bottom of the list of options. On our laptops, it is unticked. With a Factory Reset of the bios config, that box becomes ticked.

I tick that box on another laptop with the problem and the issue goes away.

It looks like HP have rolled out an update which requires that box to be ticked, where previously it could be unticked. Importantly, it looks to me like the old default was that the option was unticked (or absent) when the devices were shipped all those years ago.

I created account just to thank you, I have tried a million "fixes" and yours not only was the first to work, but was a million times easier than any of the others. You are a tech support saint and I hope you  have a wonderful day.

Thank you, this worked like a charm!!!

This works perfectly fine. Just dont forget to install the driver again. Thanks man!

What version did you rollback too, what version was it before, what driver did you even rollback.

This is  the most simple and workable solution.

Only difference is that the " HP LAN/WLAN/WWAN Switching and Hotkey Service"  is under ' Software components' in Device manager in my Windows 10 version.

Thanks a lot.

I also see that Windows update keeps updating this driver. So you have to remember this trick to roll back the driver over time.

EVERY FEW MONTHS this happens, and I have to spend an hour trolling through the forums to find the latest fix.... FFS...get it together HP.  This is ridiculous.

This was very helpful, resolved an issue that I have had with my PC since buying it 2 years ago.
