Greetings,
I recently aspired to change my RAM from the stock 4GB to 8GB as its my understanding that is the biggest RAM the model will handle? I purchased 820570-005 - HP Compatible 8GB PC4-17000 DDR4-2133MHz 2Rx8 1.2v Non-ECC SODIMM from NEWEGG. However, when I installed this & attempt to power up the device nothing happens. No noise, just a black screen. It is getting power as I have check this with a meter. I read that taking out the battery and doing a "hard reset" can fix possible static interference? Though when I install the stock RAM everything works fine. In fact I am using the computer right now. "Any help here would be hot"
In gratitude,
PP

What is your HP Laptop 14-dq0xxx ? Part # for RAM on your machine is 937236-855 (8GB), not 820570-005.

That is the device title in the about settings..thought it might be relevant. I got the part number from another post here that said the latter part number was the correct one but I'll give this new part number a whirl.
Thank you.
