I currently own a HP Laptop 14s-dq2536TU with an 11th Gen i3-1115G4 and I want to know if it is possible for me to upgrade my 8GB RAM to 16GB. If it is possible, what is the right RAM to buy?

Yes, you can install a second 8 GB memory chip in the empty slot.

This should be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook:

Crucial 8GB DDR4 3200 MT/s (PC4-25600) SODIMM 260-Pin Memory - CT8G4SFRA32A : Amazon.com.au: Compute...

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure:

Thanks a lot, I have another question. Is it possible to replace my 11th Gen i3 processor with a better one or is that not possible?

HP Recommended

You're very welcome.

The processor and graphics adapter are integral parts of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

HP Recommended

Ah alright, what about the motherboard then? Is that possible?

HP Recommended

It would cost you more money to replace the motherboard in your notebook than to buy a a new notebook with a better processor.

Also, since there is no service manual available for the 15-dq2xxx model series, I would have no idea what motherboards and part numbers are supported.

The motherboards listed in the service manual I posted are for the older 15-dq0xxx model series with the Intel 8th generation core processors.

Yeah fair enough, all good then. Thanks a lot for the help, appreciate it.

You're very welcome.

Glad to have been of assistance.
