The Windows C: drive, which is part of an Optane raid configuration, is failing. I bought an identically sized WD HDD. The instructions to replace is said to disable the optane memory, then swap out the drive with an Acronis clone. Now the new drive can't boot, and when I put the original HDD back in, I can't enable the optane memory. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

It is not part of C:. After disabling Optane, can you remove it and boot the machine with only HDD ?
Regards.

Thanks Banhein, for the response. I removed the Optane card, rebooted with the failing drive, cloned the new WD drive with AOMEI backkupper, Then rebooted with the new drive, replaced the Optane card, rebooted again, and reenabled the Optane pair in the Intel software. Everything is working now. I had previously used Acronis, and then EaseUS, but wasn't successful with those two apps.
Anyway, all is good now.
