Hi:
According to chapter 1 of the service manual the notebooks with the AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processors have two memory slots and can support up to 2 x 8 GB of memory.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
If you want to see if it is possible to install 2 x 16 GB of memory, you can do this to find out:
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

Hi:
If you have the money to invest or can return the memory if it doesn't work, I think it is worth the risk.
I couldn't believe that report indicated the notebook won't support 2 x 16 GB of memory.
There are HP notebooks with the Ryzen 3xxx processors that support 32 GB of memory.
