Product: HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fd0000 (794H8AV)

I bought an HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 with combo cable and it won't recognize on my HP Laptop PC 15.  Is this a compatibility issue?  Is there even a docking station out there for this laptop that will support to DP ports?  I use this for work, but thinking I might have bought a simpleton for a laptop and should have bought something better.

It ONLY has  (1) USB 3.2 Gen 1.0 Type-C port; SuperSpeed 5 Gbps signaling rate (data transfer only; charging or external monitors not supported) therefore it is NOT compatible with the dock nor other USB-C docks.

The answer is NO. If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only-total 3), you can use

  • Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
  • Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as

                                     USB to HDMI Adapter
