I have a HP Envy Laptop 17t-cr0000 that just keeps having issue after issue. It's been to HP 3 times now and after 1 week, it just keeps doing the same thing over and over.
#1. I lose Bluetooth and Wireless Network icons constantly.
#2. Keyboard just stops working randomly.
#3. Charging port stops working randomly as well.
Repairs have consisted of new hard drive, new motherboard and new charging port. I still lose the bluetooth and Wi-Fi functionality at least 2x a day and have to do the special shut down and hold the power button down for 15 seconds for it to come back. It's getting old, really old. HP won't replace it with another model and of course the warranty just ran out and it was like a HA HA HA, good luck now when I talked with a representative on the phone about it happening . HP has had my laptop more time than I've had to use it (7 months versus I have only owned it 12 months).
Has anyone found the PERMANENT solution to the above problems? I spend more time fixing this laptop every day than I use it.

Hi @countrylover197,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the ongoing issues with your HP Envy Laptop 17t-cr0000. It sounds incredibly frustrating, especially given the number of repairs and interactions with support you've had. Here are some steps and potential solutions you can consider, which might help address the problems you've described:
1. Bluetooth and Wireless Network Issues
These could be due to software problems, driver inconsistencies, or hardware conflicts.
- Update Drivers: Ensure all your drivers, especially for the network adapter and Bluetooth, are up to date. You can do this through the Device Manager in Windows or by visiting HP's official website and entering your laptop model to find the latest drivers.
- Network Settings Reset: Try resetting the network settings on Windows. Go to Settings → Network & Internet → Status → Network reset.
- Power Management Settings: Sometimes, the system turns off devices to save power. In Device Manager, right-click on your wireless and Bluetooth adapters, go to Properties → Power Management, and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
2. Keyboard Stops Working
This could be a hardware fault, but given it’s intermittent, it might also be related to software or driver issues.
- Update Keyboard Drivers: Update the drivers as you did with the Bluetooth and wireless drivers.
- Check for Hardware Conflicts: Go to Device Manager and see if there are any conflicts shown, particularly around the keyboard.
3. Charging Port Issues
Since the charging port has been replaced, this could be related to the power adapter or internal connections.
- Use Different Charger: If possible, try a different compatible charger to rule out the charger itself being faulty.
- Battery Health Check: Check the battery health in the HP Support Assistant to see if the battery is functioning properly.
General Troubleshooting and Considerations
- BIOS Update: Check for a BIOS update from HP, which can resolve a variety of hardware issues.
- System Restore: Consider doing a system restore to a point when the laptop was working correctly, if available.
- Factory Reset: As a last resort, a factory reset can help, but ensure you back up all important data first.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
