HP Laptop 17z-ca300
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi. I’m Binh Nguyen.

The HP Laptop 17z-ca300 uses Ryzen 5 4500U (supoort RAM 3200MHz) but it has only RAM 2666MHz. I want to know the Mainboard support RAM 3200MHz or not? And total max RAM.

Thanks.

Hi:

I cannot find a service manual for your notebook, but I have a HP Envy 15-ee047nr with the same Ryzen 4500 processor and my notebook has 2 x 8 GB DDR4-3200 memory chips running at 3200 MHz.

You should be able to install 2 x 16 GB of memory in your notebook.

I don’t sure.

Total max and MHz max depend on Mainboard’s Support. Sometime they use mainboard support only RAM 2666MHz for cheaper price.

If you are looking to upgrade the memory, you have nothing to lose by buying 2 x 16 GB of DDR4-3200 memory.

It is no more expensive than DDR4-2666 MHz memory,

Worst case scenario is it runs at 2666 MHz.

Anyway your notebook is so new, that there is zero information for it anywhere.

No manuals, no crucial memory report, nothing.

If you're not in a hurry to upgrade the memory, you may want to wait a few months to have the memory sites and the HP service manual start showing up for your notebook's model series.
