HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15m-ed1023dx

I appreciate the response to my previous BIOS update question in Linux from Alden4.  I recently came across the Client Management Solutions - HP Flash and Replicated Setup Utilities for Linux article and have installed the software.  So I'm looking for the actual Bios files, even if they are .EXE.  I read that the BIOS BIN file can be extracted from the .EXE file, and the first step is to download the .EXE.  How do I get there when HP doesn't recognize Linux as a valid system OS?

The bios files ".exe" can be downloaded here but there are two bios

I am not sure why one bios stops at Aug 2021 and the other goes to 2024

Possibly laptops manufactured before 2021 cannot use the bios that goes to 2024.

if you can borrow a windows PC you can download and create a bootable USB flash to do the install.

I downloaded the 2024 exe and used 7zip to peek into it and found more executables.  i did not see a .bin

NOTE: If you borrow a library pc with windows,  you will need administrator access to create the USB.

In HP's "Client Management Solutions - HP Flash and Replicated Setup Utilities for Linux" (https://ftp.ext.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/cmit/linuxtools/HP_LinuxTools.html), in the BIOS Flashing section of the "HP Linux Tools User's Guide" it specifically states "To update (flash) the BIOS, obtain a current BIN file for the target system from the HP support website. Follow the posted instructions for extracting this file from the posted SoftPAQ archive, if necessary."  Can someone direct me to the intended reference on whatever page in the "HP support website"?

I downloaded the 2024 bios file "sp153717.exe" and ran it to create the bin file

here are the files it produced.  They are for three different ROMs

Look in your bios  for the ROM family. It may be called "baseboard ID" and see if it matches one of the above

I cannot post the bios files here for you.
