My HP laptop has a broken hinge.  I stopped by BestBuy and they would not do this repair.

Can the hinges be replaced and if so, does anyone know a local shop, zip code 02668, who will do this repair?

Any idea on the cost to repair?

Thanks

Of course they can be replaced but broken hinges are a symptom and do not completely tell what is wrong. Often as the hinges fail they cause breakage to other components like the big chassis pieces. These can be expensive. I used to run a laptop repair shop and you may find one who is willing to do the diagnostic work, identify the failed parts and make an effort to source them for a reasonable price. But you could get charged anywhere from $100 to $500 its hard to say. I don't live anywhere near West Barnstable MA so I cannot endorse any repair shop local to you. Good luck.
