HP Recommended

My HP Pavilion (eg1053cl) has not been turning on for some time now. I've tried to remove the battery and AC Adapter from the laptop, it still refuses to turn on. I've reseated the RAM and it's the same result. Whenever the laptop receives a charge or has the battery plugged in, the Power Button blinks then turns off in the same interval of time. And when I plug in the AC Adapter, the Charger LED lights up for some amount of time then turns off the same time when the Power Button turns off. I'm not sure if the Motherboard is dead or if the battery is the issue. If anyone has experienced this issue please let me know. Thank you.
