HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 (2D120AV)
Trying to figure out if I can replace the keyboard for one that has the backlit option. Sometimes, when working with the wrong kind of light , it is hard to see the keyboards. Especially difficult when looking for a special char.
Please advice,
Thanks

I can't recall anyone in the year I've been involved in this forum reporting that they did one. I've read most of the posts and replies here since I am in the same boat for the last year. Some knowledgable here say yes, with the occasional warning that a particular model motherboard might not have the correct keyboard header on it.
Your Service Guide has a list of the different keyboard colors and with or without backlit. You'd have to consider looking at the replacement procedure in that guide, too. You're going to have to tear the laptop almost completely apart to replace the keyboard. Not for the beginner, but doable.
