Hello, I have an HP Notebook laptop with a hard disk, and I'm considering upgrading it to an SSD card. I'm unsure if the motherboard of this laptop has adequate ports to accommodate this hardware upgrade. Additionally, could you recommend a suitable 1TB SSD card model for this laptop? Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated.

This is an older model based on Intel Core 5th generation and we are now up to 13th generation. It has no slot for an SSD card if by that you mean an M.2 SSD. However, it can effectively run a 2.5 inch SATA SSD instead of the painfully slow 5400 rpm mechanical hard drive originally fitted in the factory. This model shares the chassis with the HP Star Wars model from about 2015 era. Here is the Service Manual:

Before you point out that the Manual mentions an M.2 SSD I will tell you that we went down that path quite a bit back in 2015 and nobody is able to locate a slot for installing an M.2 SSD. It's as if HP intended to allow for one but just did not make the motherboard to handle it. You will also find some youtube videos that show disassembly and can see there is no M.2 slot. Post back with any more questions. Viel Glueck.
