Hi, Lawrence:
Your notebook has one memory slot, and the max memory you can install is 1 x 8 GB of DDR4-2400 memory.
HP Notebook - 15-bs289wm Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support
The Pentium Silver N5000 processor uses DDR4 memory, not DDR3L like the older Pentium processors use.
Intel Pentium Silver N5000 Processor 4M Cache up to 2.70 GHz Product Specifications
You would have to remove the 4 GB memory chip and install an 8 GB memory chip.
This would be a compatible 8 GB memory chip for your notebook.
