Hi, i bought a HP Pavilion a few years ago and i have had the same issues - firstly the charger doesn't charge 100% and it gets to 78% roughly and stops charging. Then the battery drains within a hour from 78% to 0% . I dont think this is an issue with the recall - but i am checking now. I am not able to get a replacement battery from HP.  Any ideas what else i can do - aside from walking around with my charger to use the laptop?

@DeeD1

I reviewed your post and I understand that the battery is not getting charged completely and you are getting 1-hour battery time.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

If you continue facing the issue, then follow the steps in the below article and run a test on the battery.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Hi Fossette,

Thanks for coming back to me, i have tried both of these options as they have also been recommended by another HP person and no luck. I ran the BIOS and the battery test has deemed to be not faulty,

Therefore the battery issue prevails 😞
