Many complain that the built-in webcam is not detected, but before touching or adding anything one don't really known in your desktop; just try to use the usb cable included with the monitor to connect it to the desktop and voila the camera is detected. It worked with my HP Desktop and this HP monitor built-in webcam and speakers
