Unit ask for pass word. I can't remember the original BIOS pass word. Unit gives following message: "Fatal Error .......System Halted Code: CNU938CZ6G. Can you folks assist me in resetting/cancelling the BIOS pass word. Help is appreciated. Thanks!

That is a 14 year old laptop. 

 

I still have one of them, but it also quit working two years ago.

 

I am not surprised that it finally decided it did not want to work any more. System boards and hard disks only last so long.

 

That System Halted code is actually the serial number and it does not provide any diagnostic information.

 

I suggest that you source a replacement. 

 

The 160 GB hard disk type that is in the notebook isn't even manufactured any more.
