Hello, I had purchased hp laptop du2002tu on 2020. It runs on a 10th gen so i want to upgrade it to 12th. But it runs on a BGA processor. Is it possible to change BGA Intel core i3 10th laptop to a BGA Intel core i5 12th gen laptop by changing the motherboard ? Please tell.

The short answer is no.
A different systemboard is unlikely to fit in the original laptop enclosure.

Sir, I am not changing it myself and want to make it done by service center. They will know the size and do it themselves. Will my laptop work properly after changing the bga processor 10th gen i3 to 12 or 11th gen core i5 ? Please tell.

Upgrading your HP Laptop - 15s-Du2002tu from an Intel core i3 10th gen to an Intel core i5 12th gen by changing the motherboard could be technically possible, but it's highly impractical.
BGA processors are soldered directly onto the motherboard, meaning you can't just swap out the CPU like you can with desktop computers.
Additionally, finding a compatible motherboard with a 12th gen processor that fits perfectly in your laptop's chassis, and works with your laptop's other components (like cooling system, power supply, etc.) could be very challenging.
In most cases, purchasing a new laptop with the 12th gen processor pre-installed would be more cost-effective.

" They will know the size and do it themselves"
An HP Service Center will not upgrade the processor on your notebook's system board.
You can upgrade the memory to a maximum of 8GB and replace the HDD with a 2.5" 3D NAND SATA SSD
Here is a source that produces and sells guaranteed compatible for your laptop.

@erico there are only a few service centers which can do it and they have to be authorised too. I can get it done because my city has 3 authorised centers. But when they replace the motherboard, can they change BGA to LGA or PGA or can they change BGA to another BGA only ?

An HP Service Center will not upgrade the system board in a laptop.
They are not in the business of upgrading laptops.
