Is there Something wrong with Windows 25H2 version? As it's thrice in this month this No audio device installed came. I have Pavilion-Plus 14 ew-1082tu and I also use hp pre build equaliser. I did bios audio check and it passed with the beep audio check. Why not in windows i can hear?? Also HP website doesn't have drivers for 25H2 only 23H2 and 24H2 drivers are there.

Hi @d1aria2

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how frustrating it must be to hear the BIOS audio test succeed with the beep, yet Windows still shows “No audio device installed.” Thank you for already running diagnostics and checking the HP site for drivers—that’s a thorough start.

Let’s go step by step to isolate this within Windows 11 (25H2).

Step 1: Check Device Manager

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Sound, video and game controllers.
    • If you see your audio device with a yellow warning icon, right‑click and choose Uninstall device.
    • Restart the notebook—Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver automatically.

Step 2: Run Audio Troubleshooter

  1. Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  2. Go to System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
  3. Run the Playing Audio troubleshooter and follow the prompts.

Step 3: Reinstall Audio Driver

Even if drivers are listed for 23H2 or 24H2, they can still be installed on 25H2.

  1. Visit the HP support page for your model:
HP Pavilion Plus Laptop 14-ew1082TU Drivers
  2. Download the latest Realtek High Definition Audio Driver available.
  3. Install it and restart the notebook.

Step 4: Verify Output Device

  1. Right‑click the Speaker icon in the taskbar.
  2. Select Sound settings.
  3. Under Output, ensure the correct device (e.g., Realtek speakers or headphones) is selected.

Step 5: Update Windows

  1. Press Windows + I, go to Windows Update.
  2. Check for updates—sometimes cumulative updates restore compatibility with drivers.
  3. Restart after updates are applied.

Step 6: HP App Equalizer

If you use the HP pre‑built equalizer, reinstalling the audio driver should restore its functionality. After reinstall, open the HP App and confirm the equalizer settings are active.

For more guidance on fixing audio issues, you can refer to this HP article:

These steps should help Windows detect the audio device again. Since the BIOS test passed, the hardware is functional—the issue lies in driver or Windows configuration.
