My Hp notebook 15 series, I have 4GB Ram in my laptop, So can I upgrade 4GB in the second slot. I checked in CPU-z software, it showing "Single channel", so if I put an additional 4GB ram, would it show dual channel or not. I did check rams online they showing title with dual-channel ram 4gb like so which ram should I buy single-channel ram or dual channel ram.
NOTE: please clear this question in detail, Single-channel and dual-channel rams.
My laptop support dual-channel ram.

Hi:
Memory is memory.
You don't buy single or dual channel memory.
The crucial memory website shows compatible memory for your model. You will note that there is no mention of single or dual channel in the specs.

You buy a memory module, and two of them of matching capacities run in dual channel (DDR) mode.
