Hi,
I have few questions. Please help me with those.
Notebook name- HP Notebook - 15-be012tu, i3(6th Gen), 4GB DDR4, 1TB HDD, DOS.
1> Can I upgrade my notebook HDD to SSD? If yes what is the SSD max limit that it supports?
2> Can I upgrade my notebook RAM to 12 or 16 GB DDR4 RAM? If no, what is the max size of RAM it supports?
3> What type of RAM it supports?
I am asking 2nd question, as I have seen some places where they have mentioned it supports 16 GB and somewhere it says 8 GB. I want to be 100% sure before i make hardware upgrades.

Hi,
Max RAM for your system is 16GB of DDR4 2400MHz RAM (2x8GB)
The RAM will run at 2133MHz and you can use 2133MHz modules or the easier to find 2400MHz modules. You can purchase of your preferred brand.
Example of RAM:
https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/compatible-upgrade-for/HP-Compaq/hp-15-be012tu#MEMORYFilters
On page 6 of service manual you can see various configurations and on page 56 the steps to install the RAM
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06189775
You can replace the Hard Drive with a 2.5" SATA3 SSD such as the Samsung 860 Evo or the Crucial MX500 or anything similar
Example:
There is no limit to capacity. It will give a great boost to the everyday performance of the notebook. You will then need to transfer the OS to the SSD or perform a clean install of the OS. On page 60 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the drive.
Hope it helps,
David
