Hi I am wondering if my hp notebooks upgradeable from a intel core i3 7th gen to an intel core i7 7th gen or higher and what I would need to do to get my hp notebook up to par with some degree of performance and maybe a bit of help on the process of upgrading an hp notebook CPU or Apu my laptop is currently no longer supported by hp as of December 31st 2021 and want to get this done as soon as I cane before too long My HP notebook modal is a/an HP Notebook - 15-bs013dx and was bought in 2017 the only thing that has been done to it was an uninstall and reinstallation of the operating system from the default Windows 7 to Windows 10 home because of the previous user had a major security breach and a virus was installed so fixed that so just a possible CPU upgrade and maybe an SSD instead of the current optical drive please give a response as soon as anyone has answers .

No, you can't. CPU is actually soldered to the system board. If you wish new CPU you have to buy new system board (if available). The specs of your machine is

Easiest upgrade for that laptop would be an ssd as your main OS drive and install 16GB of ram. You don't mention amount of ram or ssd.
