Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1.

HP 15 Laptop PC (AMD)* Model numbers: 15-bw0xxHP 15g Laptop PC* Model numbers: 15g-bx0xxHP 15q Lapto...

Notebooks with the A4-9120 processors have one memory slot, and the max memory is 1 x 8 GB.

In order to upgrade the memory, you will need to remove the 4 GB memory bar and replace it with an 8 GB memory bar.

I believe that is a false report.

I have a similar model notebook with the A4-9120 processor and there is only one usable memory slot.

You can also see in chapter 1 of the manual, notebooks with the dual core AMD processors only have one memory slot.

Buyers who bought computers like me, increased memory up to 16 GB. They have the same process in my computer. They have 2 slots of 8GB = 16GB. Tomorrow I will scatter my computer to find out how many memory slots, in the computer.

I opened the computer cover to see how many slots for memory. Their 2 pieces. But one memory slot, not working. You were right. I will do as you said, replace the modulic memory of 4GB, on the module 8GB. Advise which module is correct for my computer: 8G 2133MHz x1pcs.

8G 2400mhz x1pcs.

8G 2666MHz x1pcs.

8G 3200MHz 1pcs.

Hi:

I recommend this 8 GB memory bar since they guarantee compatibility...

Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 SODIMM | CT8G4SFS824A | Crucial RU

The processor only runs the memory at 1866 MHz, so the 2400 MHz memory would be fine.

You're very welcome.

Glad to have been of assistance.

If you have not done so already,  you may want to consider replacing the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a better performing solid state drive.

Your notebook's performance will be greatly improved.
