Hello,
My laptop is not recognizing the charger when the laptop is in use. The only time the laptop will charge is if it is powered off and closed. Once I go to use it, the battery drains extremely fast. I have seen and read several posts about laptops not recognizing chargers, unfortunately, they all read one must remove the battery, however, my laptop has an internal battery. I tried updating my BIOS but as you all know, the AC adapter must be plugged in and "recognized" or the update will not complete. Can anyone shed some light or provide assistance please?

But it is still removable. Page 41 of the following manual shows you how
