Hi, I have HP Notebook - 15-dw0081wm,

I want to upgrade to an SSD drive; I have a M.2 2280 drive.

I had opened the laptop but I'm not able to find the port to connect the SSD, would you please help me to find this out ?

Does this model have an M.2 port?

Thanks,

Oscar

Hi, @OscarRD

The 15-dw0xxx Notebooks with the Intel Pentium and Celeron processors do not have M.2 slots.

HP PartSurfer

This is not clearly spelled out in chapter 1, page 2 of the service manual.

@OscarRD,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

Yes, according to the specs, your HP Notebook 15-dw0081wm does have one M.2 NVMe SSD slot:

@OscarRD,

I'm afraid I cannot -it looks like your laptop is different than what I showed you: HP Notebook 15-dw0081wm.

Let's circle back: I need to get the exact laptop model information you can provide.

Please type in system information in your Windows search bar, and click on the System Information app.

Look to the right of: "System SKU" and "BaseBoard Product" and provide that information.

Kind Regards,

@Paul_Tikkanen,

I am a bit confused: did you see the OP's System Information?

We are dealing with a Dell Inspiron 15 3511 15.6 Inch Laptop, not an HP 15-dw0xxx notebook.

And according to Dell's manual, there is an M.2 NVMe SSD slot in an Inspiron 15 3511:

@NonSequitur777

Sorry, no I didn't.

I read the original post regarding the 15-dw0xxx model number.

The motherboard in the OP's screenshot looks totally different than the motherboard illustration you posted and there is only one memory slot which is not normal with Intel core processors.

Those almost always have two memory slots.

The motherboard in the OP's screenshot looks just like this 15-dw0xxx Pentium N5000 motherboard part number from this eBay listing.
