Service Manual:
Start on p. 39 to remove back cover.
The laptop will only take SATA SSDs. You can either put a 2.5 inch SATA SSD in the place with the red rectangle, in lieu of the hard drive, or a SATA M.2 disk where the blue circle is, in addition to the hard drive.
