HP Notebook Left hinge broken

Hi

My Laptop's left hinge has broken near the start button. It hasn't fallen down or anything like that... A small crack appeared previously Can someone plz help.. Its not under warranty 😞

Hey there HW82.  I have exactly the same problem with the same model.  I've taken the hinge covers off and the hingeslook fine, but it seems like they're locked.  Both of them!  And there isn't a lid lock on this model.

Did you ever resolve your problem?  Clearly HP isn't actually offering any help. Just posting messages about sending privatw messages so it LOOKS like they're being helpful. I woukd really like it if someone who has successfully fixed this  shared their nfo. TIA!!
